Welcome to the new segment in Copy and Paste- Thinkovation. This is where I'll talk about the new news- and my take on it. Thanks, My name here.
Microsoft aquired Danger for millions about a month ago. Danger- which has been failing lately and has been relying on T-Mobile heavily- now has some future. There is one of three things that will probably happen.
1) Microsoft absorbs Danger and uses them to help create a competitor to the iPhone. This would probably have 3G, WiFi, and some sort of Zune tie-in- maybe Zune Store to device and the Zune interface for music. Heck, it might be touchscreen or even unlocked.
2) Microsoft keeps the Danger OS and works heavily on the hardware. 3G, WiFi, video- the updates the SideKick has been needing, but at a better price. I feel that the Sidekicks may start to be produced by, say, HTC.
3) Microsoft ports Windows Mobile- the software- to the SideKicks. At this point, we may see an outcry from the fanboys, but the SideKick will start to be more of a business device. However- the ease-of-use of the Danger OS will be plagued by restarts and sluggishness.
Anyway- I see #2 probably happening, with #1 a close second. Though, given the recent Windows Mobile 7 Leaks with Zune functionality- Hmmm... it's food for thought. What do you think.
